Our Journey: Capturing Love and Nature Across America

Hey y’all!

We’re Soraya and Brandon, a husband-and-wife photography duo who’ve been traveling the country with our cameras in hand. Our story started long before we met, but it truly came alive when we said “I do” in July 2023. Since then, we’ve been on an incredible adventure—exploring the beauty of nature and documenting authentic, love-filled moments for couples and families. From the misty coastlines of the Pacific Northwest to the rugged peaks of the Rocky Mountains, we’ve been fortunate to witness love stories unfold in some of the most breathtaking settings in America.

Our Story

Soraya grew up in North Carolina, where her deep love for nature began. She’s the type who hugs trees, feels at home among towering forests, and finds peace in quiet moments outdoors. Brandon is originally from Ohio, where he developed an early fascination with moss and the tiny, intricate beauty of forest floors.

Together, we bring these unique perspectives into our photography. Soraya sees the big, soulful picture—the way people connect with each other and with nature. Brandon notices the small, grounding details that add richness and texture to every image. Blending these outlooks allows us to create a photography experience that’s heartfelt, authentic, and deeply connected to the natural world.

Our journey as a couple has taken us to some truly awe-inspiring places: the glaciers of Alaska, the wild sea cliffs of Oregon, the mossy coves of Washington’s San Juan Islands, and the soaring peaks of Colorado’s Rockies. Every location brings new adventures, new stories to tell, and new memories we get to share with our clients.

Our Philosophy

We believe the best photographs are born from genuine moments. That’s why we bring our couples and families out into nature, where they can slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be.

Instead of stiff poses, we use gentle prompts to help people connect—laughing together, holding each other close, running along the shoreline, or simply pausing in the quiet of the forest. These candid moments of connection are what tell the truest story.

For us, sessions aren’t just about taking pictures; they’re about creating experiences. We’ve hiked mountains at sunrise, wandered tide pools at low tide, and shared scenic picnics tucked away in hidden spots. We want every couple and family to remember not just the photos, but the day itself—a day filled with joy, love, and a deeper connection to each other and to nature.

Places That Inspire Us

Our adventures have taken us across the country, each location offering something unique and magical:

  • Oregon: Rugged coastline, dramatic cliffs, and tide pools alive with color. The Pacific Ocean makes every session feel epic yet intimate.

  • Washington: Mossy forests and green coves in the San Juan Islands—straight out of a fairy tale.

  • Alaska: Towering glaciers that remind us of nature’s power and scale, framing love stories against timeless beauty.

  • Colorado: The Rockies, with their sweeping vistas and alpine air—perfect for adventurous couples.

  • North Carolina: Soraya’s home state, where the Appalachian Mountains and Outer Banks beaches hold a special place in our hearts.

More Than Photography

While photography is our art and calling, our lives are also shaped by the things that bring us joy: hiking trails in search of hidden gems, savoring local food finds, and starting each adventure with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. These small joys fuel our creativity and keep our journey rich with meaning.

Looking Ahead

Our journey is about more than photographs—it’s about living a life rooted in love, adventure, and connection to the natural world. We’re grateful to every couple and family who’s invited us into their story, and we’re excited for the adventures yet to come.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. We hope our images inspire you to celebrate love, embrace nature, and create your own unforgettable memories.

With love,
Soraya & Brandon
