Cannon Beach Couples Photography: A Perfect Day with Jamie, Lacy, Garth, and Caye
There’s something undeniably magical about photographing couples at Cannon Beach—and our session with Jamie, Lacy, Garth, and Caye reminded us exactly why we love it here.
These two amazing couples traveled from Bend, Oregon, for a weekend adventure on the coast. They stayed at a cozy Airbnb just steps from the beach, and we met up early the next morning to begin their session with one essential stop: Sleepy Monk Coffee. There’s nothing quite like a hot cup of coffee on a brisk Pacific Northwest morning before stepping into the salty breeze.
As we warmed up with our drinks and conversation, we got to know each other better. Jamie and Lacy brought a fun-loving, adventurous energy, while Garth and Caye shared a quiet, affectionate connection. It felt like meeting old friends—we even ended the session talking about planning a snowmobiling trip together someday!
Foggy Mornings and Iconic Views at Haystack Rock
The weather that morning was classic Cannon Beach: foggy, moody, and beautiful. We started at Haystack Rock, taking full advantage of the misty light that added a dreamy, ethereal tone to every image. If you're planning your own Cannon Beach photo session, we always recommend heading out early—the light is soft, and the beach is quieter before the crowds arrive.
Each couple brought their own vibe to the shoot, and Soraya and I made sure to highlight their unique connection. Jamie and Lacy were full of laughter and movement, while Garth and Caye brought a grounded, peaceful presence. Capturing those contrasts—those real moments—is what we live for.
Sand Dunes, Laughter, and Unforgettable Moments
As the beach began to fill up, we led the group to one of our favorite tucked-away spots just down the coast—a secluded stretch of dunes with stunning views and soft, textured sand. The couples were more than happy to explore with us, climbing up and down the hills to chase the best light and composition.
Their willingness to play, explore, and just be made this session something special. The wind in their hair, the genuine laughter, the shared glances—it all came together in a way that felt effortless and real.
More Than Photos—A Shared Experience
We left that day not just with incredible portraits, but with new friendships. It’s why we do what we do. For us, couples photography at Cannon Beach isn’t just about capturing how you look—it’s about telling the story of who you are together in a place that feels alive with possibility.
To Jamie, Lacy, Garth, and Caye—thank you for trusting us to document this part of your story. We had the best time, and we can’t wait to see you again (maybe in the snow next time 😉).
